first, let’s see:
How long will Shadowlands leveling take?
The answer largely depends on what route do you take, but on average Leveling from 1 to 60 would take an average time of 1 day.
The world record for 1-50 is held by DesMephisto with 3 hours and 33 minutes .However, DesMephisto took a lot of time to get ready and had a lot of advantages. He also hold the record for 50-60 with 5 hours and 38 minutes, but Shadowlands 50-60 leveling route is mostly linear and leveling from 50-60 will take around 6-7 hours for others (based on beta, may be easier/harder on launch).
Okay, so with that out of the way,
Best Shadowlands Leveling Route/Zones
Starting from level 10, you can talk to Chromie to start leveling up on any expansion you like, up to level 50. After hitting level 50 you will be moving to Shadowlands zones which is linear for your first character.
Best expansion for 10-50 leveling
You can choose between any expansion, except for Shadowlands, to level up from 10 to 50 by talking to Chromie. The best expansion in terms of speed is Warlords of Draenor or Legion based on beta tests, even with the recent nerfs to Warlords of Draenor bonus objective nerfs. The burning crusade seems to be the slowest of the expansion to level up in.
If you chose Warlords of Draenor, just continue the normal route and do the zones in order.
- Shadowmoon Valley/Frostfire Ridge
- Talador (Try avoiding questing here, only do easy bonus objectives)
- Spires of Arak
- Nagrand (Also avoid questing here)
Unfortunately, starting from pre-patch Blizzard made change to XP potion consumables. You can only use them up to level 50 and heirlooms no longer provide xp percentage bonuses.
and after hitting 50:
Shadowlands Leveling Route
For your first character, as we mentioned, your experience is linear. Meaning that you can’t choose your route. It is fixed and you will go through this list in order:
- (After finishing Maw intro) Bastion
This route takes around 8-10 hours to complete on average. If you don’t have the time to do it, let us do it for you with our Shadowlands 50-60 Leveling service.
After leveling up your first character, you can pick what zone order you want to level up and if you want to unlock covenants first or last.
Threads of Fate or Re-play Chapters?
After completing all chapters on your first character, you can choose to skip all chapters or replay them. We recommend replaying chapters if you have low item level (under ~80 item level). You can skip the remaining chapters after you reach level 60 or just skip them when you have good enough item level to do dungeons (which can be slow if you are a dps).
